Productivity pressure is intensifying — and it’s a human energy issue

For years, we’ve tried to squeeze more productivity out of people. Firstly, by asking them to simply work harder and more latterly, through efficiency tools, dashboards, tech stacks, and automation. And yet still there’s a huge productivity gap.

Productivity isn’t just a systems issue: it’s a human energy issue.

When people feel motivated, psychologically safe and aligned with meaningful work, they don’t just produce more, they produce better. That’s culture at its DOING best.

2026 will see a shift from “manage performance harder” to “working happier”. It’s the only sustainable path forward.

Do get in touch if you'd like to discuss the ‘human energy transition’.
